        المديح النبوي هو قصائد شعرية تقوم على مبدأ الاعتراف بزنوب وآثام المادح وضعفه امام الله وتُتبع بالصلاة على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم   والتشفع والتوسل به امام الله تعالى لكي يتوب عليهم وكذلك الشوق للقائه ورؤيته وشفاعته
       هناك عدة مداح في زمن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم   منهم حسان بن ثابت شاعر النبي وكعب بن الزهير بن ابي سلمه
 يتحدث المادح اثناء مدحه عن معجزات النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم   وافعاله وصفاته  صلى الله عليه وسلم    واسمائه وسيرته وخلقه وخلقه
من فوائد المديح ايضا ذيادة محبة المادح والمستمع للنبي وآله وصحبه والتخلق بأخلاقه والاتصاف بصفاته وإتباع نهجه وسُنته
